Description

This WHS 4" drop forged Archaeology Trowel is used by Archaeologists across the world and is the primary tool used in archaeological excavation.

This is the 'Original' thicker blade 4" (10 cm) archaeologist's trowel that was redesigned with our input back in 2006 in conjunction with Spear and Jackson and UK archaeologists from BAJR. It is designed to work in any conditions and any type of excavation. The trowel is hand crafted from the carbon steel with a thick solid forged blade for ultimate strength.

This traditional WHS trowel is supplied with a smooth beech wooden handle.

It has a higher lift from trowel blade to handle to give that extra clearance between your knuckles and the ground.

Here it is………..custom made for archaeologists, from student to professional, kids to adults, this is the trowel that has been the favourite choice of archaeologists for decades

UK Universities recommend this trowel for use on fieldschools.

Great Trowel, Great Experience January 11, 2017
Reviewer: Matt O'Brien from Florida, United States
I have been putting off purchasing a WHS trowel for some time now, mostly out of concern over billing issues where there was a conversion of currency done through PayPal. I am happy to say the process was nearly seamless, and went exactly as expected. There was a second charge, for ~$0.75, which I assume was the PayPal fee. The trowel arrived in top condition, and in good time; in fact, it was in the U.S. in three days, and only the internal vagaries of the USPS kept it from arriving sooner. The WHS trowel, of course, was exactly as described and as expected. I look forward to putting it to work in some coarse rubble fill on an urban site, where I dare not put my Marshalltown, lest it snap. Thanks!
