Description

This WHS 4" drop forged Archaeology Trowel is used by Archaeologists across the world and is the primary tool used in archaeological excavation.

This is the 'Original' thicker blade 4" (10 cm) archaeologist's trowel that was redesigned with our input back in 2006 in conjunction with Spear and Jackson and UK archaeologists from BAJR. It is designed to work in any conditions and any type of excavation. The trowel is hand crafted from the carbon steel with a thick solid forged blade for ultimate strength.

This traditional WHS trowel is supplied with a smooth beech wooden handle.

It has a higher lift from trowel blade to handle to give that extra clearance between your knuckles and the ground.

Here it is………..custom made for archaeologists, from student to professional, kids to adults, this is the trowel that has been the favourite choice of archaeologists for decades

UK Universities recommend this trowel for use on fieldschools.

WHS Archaeology Trowel 4 inch June 11, 2013
Reviewer: Adam James Fowler from München, Bavaria Germany
This is a fantastic archaeology tool made from one piece of metal instead of being welded. This means I have no worries about it snapping at the weld like my others have. To add my German colleagues are increadably envious.

Reviewer: Mary Rogers from Gosport, Hampshire United Kingdom
My son is at Southampon Uni, the uni sign posted students to this site as they are preparing for thier first dig.  I found the site easy to navigate and to order.  What surprised me was the fact the the order arrived the very next day, this was fantastic. I would certainly use this site again and recomend it to others. Brilliant.
