Digital Scales for precision weighing of small finds, flotation samples, Carbon sample and ecofacts.
These are professional Digital scales, which can be used with accuracy to 0.1 gram. They have a maximum capacity of a huge 1000 grams (1 kg), this is far higher than cheaper alternatives.

It features a clear blue backlit display allowing you to use the scales in low light.

It also features a robust plastic case and leather pouch. The plastic case is lipped so that you can use this for multiple or smaller objects that may roll of the steel platform by placing this on the scales first and using Tare function. In addition - you could even use a larger box (such as one of our Stewart Boxes) and fill from a flot sample - Just use the Tare sample to remove the weight of the box!

It takes just 2 x AAA batteries to power these. This saves having to find expensive replacement batteries or specific coin cell batteries, which you can never find when you need to! The platform is a large 7.3cm x 6.5cm, which should be more than adequate for most archaeological uses.

On Excavation - On a Field Project - In the Lab these scales are light, small and powerful.

Everything I ordered, including the digital scales, is super and arrived by post within two days. Very reliable and professional, good quality, easy to order and pay. I have bought equipment here before, and will certainly do so again.

small tray size December 20, 2013
Reviewer: Anonymous Person
the scales are very good, but I'd say the tray wasn't 'large' as described, rather it is small: it is more than adequate for weighing small items, but weighing larger boxes or bags on it isn't as easy as suggested as to balance the finds on the tray you often obscure the display or the item falls off. So good, but rather misleading blurb and not ideal for weighing pottery or bags of finds. If I'd known this I'd have gone for a different, larger set. Can I have the same scales but larger?
