Very useful for fieldwork and museums March 2, 2016
Reviewer: Tara Draper-Stumm from London, London United Kingdom
These callipers are so useful. Easy to use, lightweight, and plastic tips so you can use them in museums and in the field without worry of scratching or damaging anything. They were much admired in Egypt and my Excavation director was so impressed I gave her my callipers and bought another one when I got home!

Good basic tool February 19, 2016

Used it for bones and because it is plastic not only I didn't have to worry about scratching the bones, it is also so light that it didn't tire my hand like a metal caliber would.

Good basic tool February 18, 2014

I use these mainly for artefact recording, and they are a good standard tool. Very accurate readings, good holding case, and the plastic means you don't scratch ceramics etc. They only thing they miss is the depth-gauge for doing the interior of vessels, but in a pinch you can use a ruler for this.
